Why we’re back for Mage Titans 2.0

After experiencing the resounding success that was last years Mage Titans, we can’t wait to return for more Magento goodness again this year!

Why Mage Titans?

As an agency we attend a lot of Magento related events throughout the year in order to keep up to date with the latest industry news and developments.

Several of the conferences we attend split their focus between developers and merchants.

Mage Titans is different. It’s a one day Magento conference run by developers, for developers, designed to address some of the key issues we face when working with the platform.

Collaboration

One of the key strengths of Magento as a platform is the thriving community that has grown around the product, with many developers choosing to open source their creations.

You only have to take a quick look on Github to see some of the fantastic work being done by the likes of Christian Münch (n98magerun), Colin Mollenhour (Modman), Gordon Lesti(Lesti Fpc), Fabrizio Branca (AOE) and Daniel Sloof (Magento HHVM), to name but a few.

Mage Titans provides you with the opportunity to speak to other developers and see how they are implementing these tools, as well as what they have learned so you can avoid making the same mistakes during development and improve your workflow substantially.

Magento 2

With Magento 2 now in merchant beta, the final candidate release is just around the corner. If you haven’t already, be sure to checkout the project on Github.

The Magento team has done a great job in updating documentation for Magento 2 and providing module code samples.

One thing we can’t run away from is that Magento 2 will undoubtedly change the way we write, test and deploy websites as both developers and agencies alike; so it’s important for us to stay at the cutting edge and share our experiences with each other.

And finally…

In short, if you’re a developer working with Magento then make a date in your diary for Mage Titans.

Mage Titans will take place on 7th November 2015 at The Comedy Store, Manchester. Click here for tickets.
