He also co-presents MageCasts.IO with Allan MacGregor to help educate people on SOLID, TDD and BDD.
We asked James a few short questions –
What are you most proud of?
There are many things that I am proud of. Being able to share what I do and have learned from so many amazing people through my career has to be pretty high up there, seeing Las Vegas, New York, Paris, London and Manchester (and not forgetting Berlin and Germany ) is a bonus.
Who do you most admire in your career?
I admire a lot of people, we are privileged to me in a community filled with such a close and welcoming group of people. I am also really lucky to have worked with the likes of Alistair Stead, Marco DeBo and Vinai Kopp, and also have longgg chats and great friendships with many more. The one person who really stands out and whom I really admire is Mr Allan MacGregor. From early in my Magento life he has been around to push me and question things, he is an amazing friend and all around superstar to me!
Why did you want to get involved in Mage Titans UK 2016?
From the moment Jon sold me on Mage Titans many years ago and our chats at Space 48, I knew that this was a platform I wanted to be involved in. Sharing and learning are core to what I do and the way that this event is ran just confirms that this is an event built by people that love what they do, built for people who love what they do. Thats why it has become the number 1 Magento conference in the UK, and now the world.
Is there anything else that you are eager to tell us about your talk?
There are plans in the works, so without wanting to share too much I hope its going to send people away testing there every step.
Many thanks to James for answering our questions, we’re really excited to hear your talk at #MageTitansMCR.
