Time Saves Lives
Throughout 2016 all proceeds from Mage Titans will to The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital provides specialist healthcare services for children and young people throughout the North West, as well as nationally and internationally.
Making a difference for every child, every day
The hospital sees 220,000 patient visits each year across a range of specialties including oncology, haematology, bone marrow transplant, burns, genetics, and orthopaedics. With 371 beds it is the largest single-site children’s hospital in the UK.
This year there is a charity drive to raise enough money for a 24-hour access helipad on the grounds. Currently critically ill and injured children are being airlifted for the sake of speed and delicacy, only to land in the closest airfield (over 11 miles away) or a nearby park (under arrangement), and then having to endure vital extra minutes’ travel across uneven ground to the hospital doors. Those few minutes could save lives.
The helipad will also be used by the Manchester Royal Infirmary and Saint Mary’s Hospital, who see over one million patients each year.
Mage Titans hope to help The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital raise enough money to build a helipad this year through the Mage Titans Mini and the full-fat Mage Titans.
So every ticket that you buy goes a little towards a great Magento community event but a lot towards the health of thousands of children across the country.
