So it’s that time of the year again, and we’re preparing for Mage Titans 2018! It’s going to be an exciting year so we wanted to share a bit more information with you all. The conference is on Saturday 10th November with the Dev Exchange the evening before on the 9th.
For those of you that don’t know, Mage Titans is a Magento focused developer conference that brings the community together to discuss best practices, new technologies, tools and ideas and approaches to problems. It’s a great opportunity to learn and network with fellow developers, merchants and technology partners. Here’s our YouTube channel so you can have a look at some of last years talks – https://www.youtube.com/user/magetitans
Speakers
We can’t wait to announce our speaker lineup once the call for papers deadline is up, but we can announce our first confirmed speaker is Karen Baker of Shipper HQ! Karen will be talking about Re-Engineering Magento 2 extensions for PWA/GraphQL. We’re super excited to have her this year!!
If you really want to get up on stage, please submit your talk through this link – http://ukmagetitans.wpengine.com/call-for-papers/ We welcome seasoned speakers we also provide plenty of support for first time speakers.
Dev Exchange
We will be holding the Dev Exchange at Space 48 HQ where there is a great bar and we will provide plenty of pizza. Last year was a great success with a number of fantastic speakers and knowledge sharing. More info to come on this soon!
The Conference
This year we will be holding the conference at The Comedy Store as we normally do, but we’ve taken into account a lot of your feedback from previous years. We’ve secured a bigger afterparty venue, which is an underground club called Black Dog Underdog, with a great bar and lots of space to show us your best moves.
We know networking is important to you, so after the conference, we will be providing transport to the after party venue and there will be plenty of time to network before and after the awards. Here’s some pictures of the after party venue, complete with it’s own DJ booth. If we have any DJ’s in the Mage Titans community make yourself known and we may be able to sort you out a slot! For those that aren’t feeling in the party mood after a knowledge filled conference day, we will be having a relaxed corner filled with beanbags and a Nintendo Switch so you can put your feet up and play some games.
The Awards
Now I know you will all be excited about the Mage Titans Innovation Awards, but unfortunately you’re going to have to wait for our awards release for all of the juicy details. But there are going to be opportunities for merchants and individuals to be celebrated for their Magento work.
Once the awards have been given out there will be some networking and food and then the party starts!! The club is open until 4am and we will be treating you to some exciting entertainment. We can’t wait for you to join us and party!
