Mage Titans is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect

Purchasing a ticket for Mage Titans and your information

By securing a ticket to attend Mage Titans, attendees are consenting to receive information from Manchester Digital regarding the logistics of the event and a follow-up email post-event. Manchester Digital may also need to share any dietary or access requirements you have provided with a third party such as the event caterer or venue.

After Manchester Digital have sent the attendee a follow-up event email we will only hold your data for 1-month. During this time we will not share your information or contact you.

Keeping your data for a month will only be to explicitly recap on the success of our campaign. After the one month period, the information you have provided will be deleted. If you wish to be contacted regarding other events and services that Mage Titans produce then you will need to specifically opt into our mailing list here.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Website cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and all information is strictly anonymous.

Third Party Platforms

Facebook
We may also use Facebook’s advertising service known as ‘Facebook lookalike audiences’ if you have informed Facebook of the fact that you use our Platforms. Facebook lookalike will allow us to identify new potential consumers and users of our Platforms and products on the basis that those new potential users share similar characteristics with you on Facebook – for example, on the basis that both users have ‘liked’ the same Facebook pages. We may, therefore, share your email address and name with Facebook if you have logged into the Platforms via your Facebook account, or have downloaded our Platforms onto your device through a Facebook advertisement. Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, Mailchimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Mailchimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing [email protected].

Third Parties
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

Manchester Digital, as the event organiser will have access to your data.

We may also use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement.
